wish me {luck}

while i'd love nothing more than to set my sights on the beautiful sunny springtime waiting around the corner - i'll be spending my weekend embracing cold, wintery weather in Lake Tahoe.  I'm taking my mister skiing for his 30th birthday.  He loves to ski.  He's amazing at it in fact.  I, on the otherhand, haven't skied in ten years, and that last time i skied - well, i hit my head on a rock.  seriously.  let's just say me and the snow don't have the most loving of relationships.  but i'll be zipping up my {faux} fur lined winter coat and strapping my cold feets into some ski boots in the name of love.  i'm even sort of looking forward to feeling the cold air against my face.  for a bit anyways, those hot toddies will be calling my name in no time.  enjoy the weekend!

the lovely print above is by opart and is available here.

drybar {sneak peek}

i am so thrilled and honored to be doing the flowers for drybar!  the genius idea of my dear friend Alli, drybar is a blow-outs only salon in Brentwood - and tomorrow is the GRAND OPENING!  I am just so excited to see all of her hard work and passion come to life.  If you live in the LA area, book your appointment now - this woman can work miracles, trust me!  For those of you who won't be able to visit in person, here's a peek at the flowers i did especially for the launch....

{Once Wed} : John + Yoko

I'm so excited to finally share the details of our John Lennon + Yoko Ono inspired photo shoot.  Paige Appel, my partner in all things fun and I are teaming up as collaborators for Once Wed.  Each month we'll feature creative ideas, tablescapes, and projects inspired by famous couples in history - both real and fictional.  Today our very first project, shot by the lovely and insanely talented Bonnie Tsang based on the love of John and Yoko is up on Once Wed.  I know I probably say this about each new project I work on, but the flowers I did for this shoot are my absolute favorite to date - sophisticated and soft, with that rough hippy vibe.  Makes me want to make daisy chains and lay in a field of grass.

Check out the full story on Once Wed here and here.
